in a family with sportsman spirit. Her father was a High school football coach and she recalls being born on Friday night
when her father was busy coaching for the students. She completed her High School from Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach. In an interview taken by Sasee, she has admitted that the beach, school activities and the Friday Night Football Games were the memorable days of her life as a High School student. She took French and Economics in her Bachelor Level which she passed from Wofford College while she earned her Masters degree from University of Massachusetts in the year 1997.
She started her professional career through an internship in a TV station in Boston. She debuted in News Media through WPDE- TV, an affiliation of ABC in 1999 in Myrtle Beach where she was selected for covering NASCAR and High school sports and News. She then transited to NSN in 2001 and served it for a year before moving to Fox Sports Net, New England. She was hired by WDH in Boston in the year 2003 where she handled anchoring of Weekend Sports. Acknowledging her brilliant performance in WDH, she was offered a job in ESPN- the renowned sports channel as a sportscaster which she gladly
she gladly accepted. She is a very dedicated anchor. Her work begins nine hour earlier than the broadcasting of actual show where the team meets and brainstorms the things they would do for the show.
Wendi met Ben Cherington in Amherst College. She got married with Ben Cherington- Boston Red Sox Vice President of player personnel. He is right now the Red Sox GM. Their marriage could not work out. She made it official that they got divorced in a Myrtle Beach Tribune 2010interview. Her next interview was taken shortly afterwards by Coastal Carolina Home and Lifestyle in which see admitted that she was seeing someone else.
In an interview taken by Improper Bostonian magazine in the year 2010, she conceded that she takes it ok that she was called “sideline hottie” She said she is the fan of the Oregon Duck Mascot. She has a very stylish personality and lovesto wear an outfit which displays her curves, cleavage and slender legs. Recognizing her potentiality and knowing that every channel would try to convince her to be with them, ESPN is paying her very attractive salary to keep her tied to them.
